They also become the liaison between the artist, the festival staff, and the venue during the week of the festival. The Venue Manager ensures that their assigned venue’s shows begin and end on-time, is friendly and courteous to artists in the space, makes certain the space is staffed and stocked at all times, and works with volunteers to provide smooth front of house operations.
This is a paid position that runs for the duration of the festival, November 7-13, 2016.
Before the Festival:
Meet with the Production Manager and walk through your assigned venue.
Attend training on festival procedures, prices, and info to know.
Add contact information for all pertinent Festival staff into your phone.
Attend Meet and Greet with Festival Artists.
Communicate with volunteers assigned to your venue (if possible) and provide your contact information.
After the Festival
Assist with the strike at your assigned venue and 1 other location.
Attend a wrap up meeting where we will drink beer and talk about what we learned.
